Product description:
Ginkgo: Standardized Ginkgo biloba extract for neuroprotection, optimum cognitive function, and healthy circulation.
  • Ginkgo biloba is an ancient plant containing two important unique phytochemical constituent groups - the ginkgo flavone glycosides and the terpene lactones, which act as potent free radical scavengers within the cardiovascular and central nervous systems.
  • Ginkgo is well-known for its neuroprotective properties (Zeitschrift Phytother 1994;15:92-6) and its support of normal cerebral functions such as memory (Phytomedicine 2000;6:393-401, Lancet 1992;340:1136-1139).
  • Ginkgo promotes normal circulation (Fortschr Med 1993;111(10):170-2) and can increase pain-free walking ability in people with impaired circulation (Am J Med 2000;108:276-81).
  • Ginkgo biloba inhibits platelet activating factor (PAF) which, in excess, is responsible for numerous inflammatory conditions, bronchial constriction and poor circulation to the central nervous system.
  • Ginkgo biloba exerts vasoactive effects on arteries and capillaries throughout the body, thereby promoting blood flow, glucose delivery and oxygenation to a variety of tissues, especially brain and nerve cells.
  • Karuna Ginkgo is standardized to specifications identical to extracts used in clinical research. Ginkgo 20-24/6 is standardized in relation to both ginkgo flavone glycosides (20-24%) and terpene lactones (6%).
  • Ginkgo biloba extract (GBE) promotes cerebrovascular and peripheral vascular circulation, and protects the blood-brain barrier.
  • GBE opposes inappropriate platelet aggregation and exerts an antioxidant effect by scavenging free radicals in the central nervous system.
  • By promoting circulation and oxygenation in the central nervous system, GBE acts to foster normal cerebral functions such as memory.
Natural sources, hypoallergenic.
Suggested Adult Use:
One capsule twice daily with morning and evening meals, or as directed by the healthcare practitioner. For more intensive use, two capsules may be taken twice daily or as directed. For best results, continuous use is recommended.
